After making an impact on the catwalk in February, Jaeger's stunning new jewellery range, Shattered Glass is about to become available. The five-piece handcrafted collection has been created by acclaimed Australian designer Jenny Manik Mercian who launched her couture
jewellery design label in 2005 and has since produced catwalk pieces for Victoria's Secret and Tommy Hilfiger.
Manik Mercian is known for bespoke crystal creations that have included corsets and body-draping
pieces. Jaeger's Design Director Stuart Stockdale approached Manik. "We have been keen to work with Manik Mercian for some time, being admirers of her beautiful designs," he says. "As shattered glass is
one of the inspirations for the Jaeger London AW09 collection, we felt Swarovski crystals would be the perfect material to use in the jewellery collection."
There are three dramatic neck pieces, including a ribbon necklace and a small necklace (both £1,500), and a large necklace as well as bracelet (£1000) and earrings (£400). The range goes on sale exclusively at Harrods from July 20th for one month and then will be available from Jaeger's flagship Regent Street store.
