Oscar de la Renta began his spring/summer 2010 collection with an onslaught of teal, orange and olive fabrics fashioned into utilitarian silhouettes like safari style blouses with pockets, shorts of varying lengths worn with cardigans, and fancifully embroidered shirts with patterned skirts. His more relaxed designs eventually evolved into Oscar signatures like off-the-shoulder sequinned striped shirts, frilly floor-grazing cocktail dresses of Chantilly lace and wonderfully vibrant frocks and embroidered separates fit for socialites of any status.
