A cascade of skirts dominated Proenza Schouler’s spring/summer collection. Sequinned, feathered, spectacularly coloured, patterned and embellished, skirts in blue, teal, neon green and yellow sashayed down the catwalk, offset by black blazers, solid coloured Lycra turtle-necks and itsy bitsy bikini tops. Evening looks included dresses with high hemlines in tie-dye and patterns seemingly influenced by underwater marine scenes. The outstandingly feminine collection seemed geared towards a cool hipster who needs an ongoing arsenal of eye-catching party looks.
