"A 1960s Simplicity pattern included in Richard Nicoll ’s program notes on Sunday inspired an outflow of baby-doll dresses, some with Pierre Cardin-style hoops at the hem. But this ironic glance back was pushed forward by the use of high-tech fabrics like plastic and Neoprene that gave a new edge to the familiar. Mr. Nicoll played with notions of femininity, using lines of frilling on stark A-line dresses and making even faded rose prints and the well-known visible bra seem intriguing." - Nytimes.com
