Stella McCartney caused something of a surprise by featuring splashes of bold colour at her Paris show on Monday. The designers normally muted palette was interspersed with electric blues, oranges, yellows and reds.
Classic McCartney tailoring in delicate dove shades were adorned with whimsical frills and ruffles - a theme that ran throughout the collection. Lengths were explored with over-sized maxi dresses and structured minis.
McCartney gave an architectural edge to her tailored styles with structured pieces in brave colours. A stand-out style saw the model in clashing red and pink: a structured top with pocket detail teamed with elegant ankle skimming trousers.
Denim was introduced liberally with button-thru skirts and in nod to the 70's, McCartney championed the high waisted look with and belted trousers and shorts.
