Three Christian Louboutin designed Barbie dolls will be released in time for the Cannes International Film Festival and come complete with mini Louboutin shoe boxes for their killer heels.
In case you hadn’t heard, back in March, Barbie celebrated her 50th birthday. The lucky girl was given custom-designed Barbie Pantone 219 Pink Louboutin’s as a gift from the eponymous designer. Jealous much!

If a plastic doll could squeal with delight (and we’ve seen enough Christmas advertising to know there are several that can) we imagine that’s what Barbie would have done on receiving her new red-soled heels.
But tragedy struck – Barbie had “cankles”! A Louboutin spokeswoman claimed that Barbie’s minuscule pegs were just too fat for Louboutin heels. The shame!
Now, Christian Louboutin is set to become the latest designer to give Barbie a complete make-over. Presumably the footwear maestro will turn ‘plastic’ surgeon and reshape Barbie’s unfortunate feet to accommodate a range of Louboutin lovelies… Although we can’t help but think it should be the other way round.
Should we normal girls need to invest in surgery to fit into the latest fashion footwear? I certainly hope not – thank God it’s Ugg boot season.
