Berets Are Back In Fashion And Now We Want To Be Cher From Clueless

If you're anything like us, you've been dying to buy, wear and eat (probably) a beret ever since the Clueless Cher days but erm, a little thing called social humiliation prevented you from living out your Parisian dream in real life. Well, gather up ya croissants, slip into your stripes and whack a beret a la tote (on your head) because this try-hard cliche is making its comeback.

We're just gonna throw it out there: berets are cliche, berets are a little bit try-hard and berets are hard to position with just the right amount of tilt so as not to look like a d*ckhead. BUT we still really want to wear one please.

While being a très tricky trend to master, theres's just something about this slouchy, felt accessory that makes us wish we were French.

Ever since the days Kate Moss, Twiggy and fashion's biggest beret badass Faye Dunaway were digging the beret trend, we've wanted to be brave enough to make it work for us. Which is why we're pretty glad they appear to be popping up all over our Instagram feeds. Bonjour B, what took you so long?

They're preppy, they're sophisticated and they hide a multitude of hair sins (dry shampoo is precious), so we think there's a pretty good case for the beret revival. But don't take our word for it, these girls are making a solid case for Parisian chic too.

Now pass me the pastries and the red lippy already...
