Recycling – it seems the possibilities really are endless! Who’d have thought you could get a super stylish must-have eco-bag made entirely of recycled (PET) bottles?
Diet Coke enlisted the help of fabulous New York based stylist Patricia Field (yes, she of Sex and the City and Ugly Betty fame), to design the re-usable bag.
Transforming 'thrown away' plastic into a durable, designer item, the new Patricia Field for Diet Coke bag is fashion-conscious, young and funky. Showcasing Field's urban side, the bag features a bold print overlaid on a black background and folds up into a handy miniature pouch, offering green goddesses a covetable alternative to a plastic bag that is both easy to store and reusable – just shove it in your handbag!
Available exclusively on the high street at selected Boots stores nationwide, the recycled plastic bag will be given away free to customers purchasing two 500ml bottles of Diet Coke while stocks last.
Field's previous collaborations with the brand have seen her cast her signature style to the iconic original glass bottle shape, creating the Diet Coke City Collection and Betty Bottle. However, this is the first time Diet Coke has ever launched a standalone fashion accessory. Why not though? There ought to be more companies recycling their packaging in fun and fashionable ways!
Hilary Quinn, My Coke Director for Coca-Cola Great Britain (CCGB), said: "CCGB is committed to reducing its impact on the environment and encouraging consumers to recycle is just one way we can do this. By continuing our relationship with Patricia, we've created a stylish accessory which carries a strong environmental message."
