Admittedly, culottes are ugly, but ugly in a fashionable way which makes them actually weirdly trendy. Not quite classic trousers, nor shorts, or skirts, culottes were hot in the 60s and 70s but now, thanks to an awkward-length trouser loving fashionista out there, they're back and even more awesome. We'll be forever thankful.
Culottes are great for achieving a chic effortless look round the clock! To pull them off pair them with some middy heels and a slim cut, fitted or cropped top to balance out the wide leg situation. The result? A polished, on fleek outfit with a high fashion edge.
This summer, we're wearing the trousers whether our boyfs love 'em or hate 'em.
