Asymmetric trendThey say the key to beauty is a symmetrical face, but that’s not so in fashion this season. Single-shoulder dresses have been seen on every catwalk from Gucci to Givenchy and are a simple way to transport your wardrobe to summer 2009. At Lanvin there were tunic shapes in intense blasts of colour, at Gucci floor-length showstoppers in emerald and jade and at Elie Saab, Grecian gowns with graduated hemlines. There’s something elegant about the sinuous collarbone and shoulder so make a feature of it, keep your structured neckpieces for another time and add some bold earrings instead. |
