Asymmetrical - spring/summer 2010 fashion trends
With an 80s revival in full swing, designers have focused their attention on the shoulders. Recent designs have subtly featured asymmetrical sleeves for a less radical appearance. Chapurin (left) treated us to an ultra-feminine voile dress whilst Lanvin (right) maximised asymmetry by giving more volume to the single shoulder of a dress.
We think: Asymmetry is a fashionista's best friend! An asymmetric flowing dress can be worn alone or teamed with accessories to create very different looks. And since summer's not quite here yet, invest in a blazer with rolled-up sleeves to cover up that exposed shoulder.
