VIP Lauren event in London: The ultimate girls day out

We recently teamed up with Lauren by Ralph Lauren to put on the ultimate girly shopping experience to celebrate the release of their spring/summer collection for 2013. With champagne, macaroons, music and make-overs the event definitely brought their collection to life - and got us in the mood for our summer wardrobes.

The event was held at Lauren by Ralph Lauren in the heart of London in House of Fraser, Oxford Street. With five lucky sofeminine VIP winners in attendance and selected Lauren guests plus the great British public, the event was packed, and full of buzz with the soft jazz playing and catwalk models showing off the collection.

The summer collection divides into different lines - the Riveria collection is reminiscent of the South of France and the glamour that goes with it (think crisp white colours, navy knits, red stripe tops and cigarette trousers.). The Hampton Classics collection is a fun retro inspired collection of monochrome gingham, pastel colours and hot pinks - perfect for a capsule holiday wardrobe.

The collection really does have something for everyone.

At the event there was champagne galore, a make-over service provided by Estee Lauder and macaroons, a jazz saxophonist and all the experts from Ralph Lauren plus Sofeminine's Fashion Editor Ursula Dewey on hand to help with all those tricky styling questions.

After a make-over, a session browsing the collection and choosing their favourite pieces, attendees were invited to have their picture taken by a professional photographer to show off their looks in the 'Lauren and so feminine photo shoot'. Everyone looked fabulous and having that VIP treatment definitely made the day go with a touch of glamour.

The catwalk brought the collection to life and I very much enjoyed seeing others dressing up, adding their own style into their outfits and striking a pose!
