Your
body has taken in a huge amount of calories in just
a few days. This doesn't just lead to tummy problems,
but record weight-gain. Firstly, forget any ideas you
had about fasting. The stomach is a muscle, after being
filled so quickly it stretches so that you feel hungrier
which will make fasting hard. You also risk the yoyo
efect if you try to fast, putting the weight straight
back on once the fast is over.
-Reduce
Your Meal Sizes.
Forget pre-dinner nibbles, drinks and starters (apart
from soup), cheese and dessert. A 100g piece of meat
or fish, or one or two eggs with as many vehetables
as you like, a small amount of carbohydrates and maybe
a dairy product, like a yoghurt to finish. Feel fuller
and make digestion easier by chewing each moutful
thoroughly.
-Think of Your Digestion.
During your detox, avoid fats and sugars which will
make you feel heavy and bloated. Choose food which
is easy to digestn such as lean fish and meat, wholemeal
bread, rice and pasta, plenty of fruit and vegetables
and fat-free dairy products. Cook your meals as simply
as possible to hold in the nutrients, try steaming,
boiling and grilling, without adding butter or oil.
-No Stimulants.
Despite what you might think, coffee and cigarettes
won't help you to stick at your detox, they will make
things harder! The toxins will weaken your body even
more and prevent it from purifying itself. Absolutely
no coffee or cigarettes allowed! !
-Three Meals a Day.
No missing meals, as it will upset your body's biological
rhythm and the bacterial balance in your gut. Snacking
is also out, even if you don't feel hungry, get into
a fixed eating routine for at least a bowl of soup
or a fat-free yohurt to keep you going.
