If you have fair skin and want it to look flawless, discover the secrets behind beautifully clear skin...
What are the characteristics of a fair complexion? Make-up
You want to aim for a perfectly even complexion, with a nude look. Your face needs light, not colour, and you don't want to look as if you're wearing make-up. Choosing and applying make-up Apply your make-up in natural daylight; avoid electric lighting which alters colours. Use a white-pink make-up base to bring out your skin’s radiance and texture. Apply with your finger and smooth in. This is your artist's canvass. Next, use liquid foundation with a slightly pearlescent texture, in a shade close to your own skin tone or slightly lighter. Apply with a brush to the middle of your face then towards the outer edges, brushing lightly, and then apply to the neck. Light reflectors create a perfect illusion and provide transparent coverage. For a more sophisticated, velvety finish, use a large brush to apply transparent loose powder over your whole face, or a compact beige-pink powder for a bit more coverage. Use lighter powder in the day and pinker powder in the evening. Make-up for your skin tone If you have 'fairly' fair skin: go for a peach/apricot base and use cream or compact foundation in a shade above your skin tone. Avoid pinkish tones if you get rosacea, as these make redness look more obvious. If you have white Asian skin: it will stay fair and radiant with a mauve base that gives it glow, then matte, neutral beige powder foundation will give even coverage.
If you have very fair skin: use a white-pink make-up base, choose a foundation in a shade that’s close to your skin tone, and give your skin a velvet sheen with a transparent powder.
