Nightie, PJs, shorts and tees or your birthday suit: we wear whatever we feel like in bed. What are the best nightclothes for your body shape, to help you get the best beauty sleep possible and wake up refreshed and looking good?
> If you're small and slim:
Silk or satin nighties suit you. Go for plunging nighties if you're small-chested and less revealing ones if you're big-chested - you don't want to end up with a wandering boob!
> If you're tall and slim:
Go for bright PJs - if you're tall you can get away with loud clothes! If you're very thin, wear horizontal stripes which are very in this season. Nighties can work as long as they're plunging, girly and don't drown your figure.
> If you're small and full-figured
Don't wear pyjamas or jogging bottoms and oversized tees if you don't want to look two sizes bigger. To flatter your curves, wear short sets or boxer-style shorts with a big dark top.
> If you're tall and full-figured
Wear PJs with vertical stripes. If you have long legs, show 'em off in a short nightshirt or steal your man's T-shirts (he'll love it!). You can wear nighties as long as they're flowing and fitted, with a balcony chest.
Fabrics:
- Don't wear lycra or nylon in bed: they aren't loose enough to be comfortable and can make you sweat more.
- Cotton is the best fabric to sleep in because it's soft, doesn't irritate your skin and stretches easily.
- Avoid itchy materials like wool and acrylic.
Tip
Your extremities need to stay warm when you're asleep, especially in winter. Slip a pair or socks on just before bed - sexy they're not, but you'll sleep like a baby!
