Travelling with your wardrobe is often a challenge, with over-packed cases you never see the bottom of, crumpled clothes and - horror of horrors - missing luggage. Here's our advice on organising your travel wardrobe for a stress-free journey!

What to pack
-          Only take essentials: good staples, underwear and 2 pairs of shoes. There's no point in overloading yourself.
-          Take plastic sachets to keep your dirty clothes separate from your clean.
-          Bring travel hand-wash gel.
-          Put a cagoule in the bottom of your case underneath your clothes to protect them from any damp.
-          Take a change of underwear in your handbag in case your luggage gets lost!

Before you set off
-          Take the right case for your journey: one that's easy to carry, not too big or too small, and is rigid enough to protect your clothes.
-          Pack your underwear in folding cloth or drawstring bags.
-          Once you've decided what clothes to take, iron them again before you fold and pack them.
-          Always put towels and blankets in your case first.
-          Travel as light as you can: stick to a 13kg limit and you'll be able to get around much more easily.
-          Lock your case with a small padlock and keep your key on your person!

Stop your clothes getting crumpled by layering sheets of silk paper in between each vulnerable item like silk or linen.

When you get there...
-          Unpack your case straight away.
-          Hang your clothes up if possible.
-          If you can't iron your clothes for the journey home, roll them up and pack them in the sides of your case so they don't get crumpled. This saves space, too.

How to rescue crumpled clothes: Fill the bath half-full with very hot water and hang the offending item from the shower head. Close the shower curtain and leave for 20 minutes for the steam to work its magic!
