Need to awaken your sensuality, heighten your senses, and make your sex life more erotic? Discover this massage where letting yourself go slowly opens doors to pleasure...

Origins
As its name indicates, tantric massage is one of the rituals taught in the tantras, the sacred books on eroticism that came from a form of Hinduism. It has influences from thousand-year-old Chinese and Indian traditions. With a link to tantric teachings, it constitutes an exchange of subtle love.

Today it is practiced far from spas and other centres of classic massage and most often between partners. Its strong sexual nature means that it is difficult, or rather impossible, to find a therapist.

How it works
Tantric massage is done naked (without towels or even G-strings to cover your modesty!) using hot oil.

Unlike other massage techniques, there are no norms for tantric massage. It's a sensual, enveloping and energising massage consisting of large movements that link together the parts of the body and the 7 chakras (energy points). Kneading, light pressure and massage movements are soft and slow, so much so that it’s difficult to follow mentally. The hands of the masseur slide from their partner's head to feet, as if they're surfing on his/her body. The idea is to make the body quiver, making all thought difficult. The hands make regular contact with the genital area, touching lightly without going as far as masturbation.

Throughout tantric massage, breathing is essential. It should be deep, from the diaphragm, to calm and relax the person receiving the massage, unblock emotions and access the beneficial sensations of touch.

The benefits
Tantric massage is sexy because it makes you aware of your body, outside the control of the mind. It's a world away from ritual, automatic daily behaviour. The physical presence of both of you makes it really powerful - your mind won't wander!!

In the tantric tradition, the massage movements awaken inspiration in women and vital forces in men. Because pure sexual acts may follow, it suits men and women who need to circulate their sexual energy and spice up their love life. For followers of this philosophy, tantric massage is a sensual and spiritual experience.
