Bread does not make you
fat; quite the opposite, in fact. It's high in fibre, carbs, Vitamin B and minerals, and good for both
health and
weight loss. As long as you choose wisely from the multiple varieties available in bakeries and supermarkets, you can enjoy bread with a clear conscience! Here are the figures.

Advice
Choose sandwich bread that is grey rather than white, as refined bread has lost most of its nutrients (vitamins, minerals and fibre.) Be weary of speciality cheeses with added fat (cheese, ham, nuts etc.), as they usually contain more calories than traditional bread. Also watch out for toasted breads as they have been processed and contain fat that bread does not naturally contain, as well as additives and a lot of salt.
