Lesbian sex

Female homosexuality or lesbianism is often called into question, yet it's just as common as male homosexuality.

> Touch:
Women-only sex involves expert touching, maybe more so than in straight sex. The hands play an important part in lesbian sex, because a large part of it involves foreplay such as mutual masturbation.

Oral pleasure is very important in lesbian relations. Kissing, cunnilingus and annulingus are just as common in lesbian relationships as straight relationships.

> Penetration:
Forget the clichés: peneration does exist in lesbian sex, and is a standard part of it, anal or vaginal, using fingers, hands, tongues or objects like sex toys, dildos and strap-ons. Fisting is an act that involves inserting a hand or fist into the partner's vagina. This is a dangerous act that can cause many lesions of the mucous membranes, from simple irritation to infections, severe bruising and even sterility.

Sexually admitted infections or diseases (STIs/STDs) and lesbian sex
Even if no penetration occurs, lesbian sex carries the same risk of sexually transmitted disease or infections (STIs/STDs) as heterosexual sex, and testing for infections is just as vital, even if no contraception is required. Regular check-ups and testing will ensure any STDs/STIs are detected and dealt with. It's vital to protect yourself. 

Protection
A latex oral barrier or dental dam is advised. Use a standard condom or latex glove (make sure it's a decent one with a CE stamp). A barrier should cover the lips and vulva during sexual acts, should be used once and changed for different parts of the body. For any type of anal or vaginal penetration with sex objects, it's vital to use a masculine or feminine condom. Latex gloves should be used for penetration by hand, and for all types of penetration, a little water-based lubricant should be used to avoid any pain, irritation or discomfort.
