The 2010 Academy Awards saw some outstanding red carpet efforts (and one or too disasters) but for hair and make-up at least the winning look look of the night goes to super sexy Demi Moore.

She may not have won an Oscar but she certainly won in the style stakes, with the most fabulous hair to go with her gown.

New research shows that one in three women say they style their hair differently to make themselves feel more glamorous (33%) while half say a new hair cut is just the recipe for looking and feeling great (51%) The research by TIGI shows most women say they turn to the media for inspiration.

We love the red carpet glamour of the Oscars, and naturally we find ourselves, year-after-year, trying to emulate a smidgen of the glamour by recreating the looks at home... with varying degrees of success.

This year, however, we have a TIGI stylist show us how to get it right! Video instructions on how to create your own Oscar worthy hairstyle step-by-step!
