Chignon bun for long hair |
|
You don't have to spend hours to get a sophisticated chignon bun, and it's easy to achieve on long, brushed hair. If you have fine hair, spritz on plenty of spray.
What you need
Hairspray
Volumising mousse
Hair grips
A plastic hairband
Step by step
Spray the whole of your hair with hairspray and brush through. Divide your hair into two sections, top and bottom. Dampen your hair then apply mousse to the bottom section of the hair and brush through again. Using a comb, gather hair into a ponytail position. Twist the hair between your fingers, applying mousse as you go, until it starts to twist back on itself then tuck hair into a tight chignon and secure with grips. Glam up the top section of your hair by teasing it through onto the top of your chignon. Take the remaining hair, twist it and secure it with a grip then finish off with hairspray.
Tip
Have several gos to make sure the height of your ponytail gives a natural-looking effect.
