2. How to be a Woman - Caitlin Moran
OK so if any of you haven’t yet read ‘How To Be a Woman’
seriously, you need to get onto Amazon, like now!
This was the first time in decades that an essentially feminist book, written by one of the most notorious columnists in the country was out there talking about things that affected women in a no-hold-barred kind of way. Cue talks of abortions, miscarriages and pubic hair.
This book brushed off the cobwebs that had fallen upon feminism and opened up the idea that being feminist isn’t about burning bras and ditching your razor – it’s about equality for men and women – that’s it. And frankly it was long overdue.
Plus it’s hysterical, (of course it is!). All hail Caitlin!
