Woman Frankly Explains Why We Shouldn't Feel Like Sh*t If Our Boyfriend's Got A Better Body

by Helen Turnbull Published on 7 June 2017

The pressure for women to achieve and maintain a perfectly-proportioned size 8 body is more rife than ever but can you imagine just how inferior you'd feel if your partner was sculpted to within an inch of his life whereas you'd much rather indulge in carbs than torture yourself with a cardio session? It doesn't help that a quick (regrettable) search of #couplegoals on Instagram returns streams of superbly in-shape pairs flaunting their fit figures, showing off some impossible twosome move.

But aspiring plus-sized model Jazzy is calling bullsh*t on the belief that fit bodies hold the key to a happy and healthy relationship. The body-positive blogger said to hell with that theory - and is encouraging women everywhere to do the same - via a powerful Instagram post. Jazzy posted a photo of her bikini-clad self, hand-in-hand with her husband who boasts a near-eight pack, bulging biceps and solid pecs but while a picture can say a thousand words, it's the caption that's struck a chord with her female following.

Jazzy wrote: "Over the years this man has loved every curve, every roll, and every stretch mark on my body. I never understood why! How could he love something that isn't "perfect"? How could a man who was "born fit" love someone like me!

"I don't have a flat stomach, I jiggle when I walk, hell if I run up the stairs too fast my body claps (lmao)!! But now I see I do have the "perfect" body!! Every roll, every curve and every stretch mark is put on me just perfect to make both of us happy!!! I love my body and I finally see why he does too!!"

So next time you find yourself feeling envious of super-toned celebrities and their similarly-sculpted significant others (not mentioning any names, ahem, Lousie Thompson and Ryan Libbey), just remember he's with you because he loves you.
