Abdominal pain in early pregnancy - ectopic pregnancy?

I think I'm about three weeks pregnant, I sometimes have a pain low down in my tummy. It's not all the time, I'd say about two out of every five days, but I was wondering if it could be an ectopic pregnancy. Should I have a termination? I'm against abortion.
Thanks very much.

If you are talking about acute pain, then I'm afraid to tell you it's not normal. It would be best to go to the doctor and ask for a scan to rule out the possibility of an ectopic pregnancy, as soon as possible. If it is an ectopic pregnancy, you would have no choice but to terminate as it would be impossible and very dangerous to both of you, for a baby to develop outside the womb. The later it is diagnosed, the worse for the mother, so it is vital that you have a scan quickly, so steps can be taken.
