For more than 25 years, IVF has helped couples with fertility problems to have children of their own. Since the birth of Louise Brown in 1978, over 70 000 children have been born through in-vitro fertilisation and an estimated 30 000 women undergo treatment every year in the UK. It's a long, painful route to pregnancy with a low success rate, but thousands of you remain undeterred and are willing to make sacrifices to have a baby. How far has IVF come since the seventies? What it is like to go through?
