How it works
Dr Sarfati: "The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic, just like at the dentist. You have an injection and you're under for half an hour, but you have to stay at the clinic for a few hours afterwards. The incision is made inside the eyelid, excess skin is removed and the skin is sewn up again. You don't need stitches removing afterwards. All you'll experience is a little swelling and bruising, but as soon as that goes down there are no other effects. Taking arnica before the operation is recommended to reduce bruising."
For: Women aged 40-45.
The result: You lose around a dozen years.
The cost: between £2000 and £4000 (for upper and lower eyelids).
You can have work done on all four eyelids, upper and lower, at the same time, or just the lower or upper eyelids. All four only takes a day, and while the bruising may take a week to go down it doesn't stop you from going back to work. It isn't at all painful and saves time coming back again...
