Whether your hair is poker-straight, wavy or afro, it needs special care and attention. African-American, West Indian, Maghreb and Latino women have much bigger hairs than Asiatic and Caucasian women and they grow much more slowly (0.8 cm per month compared to 1.1 cm per month for Caucasian women and 1.3 cm for Asiatic women).
If your hair is regularly straightened, tightly braided or put into dreadlocks it can become fragile and break extremely easily.

For beautiful frizzy, curly or straight hair you need to moisturise your scalp really well, because if it lacks sebum it will barely have its natural hydrolipidic protective film. You also need to nourish the capillary fibres in the hair to make up for the lack of protection.
