This summer think flowers! Rose and violet are exquisite and leave behind a delicate scent, sometimes innocent but always sensual, stimulating and girly! Powdery scents are being reinterpreted for the sensitive woman or the compulsive flirt.
Rose: queen of flowers
A mythical flower, the rose has been used in perfumes since ancient times. The two most popular species are Rosa Damascena, the Damask rose, and Rosa Centifolia, the Provence rose. Rose oil is extracted either by distillation, a process which also produces a residue (rosewater), or by enfleurage, a technique where odourless fats absorb the rose oil.
Violet: fragile and delicate
A little flower with a delicate, transient perfume, and the symbol of secretive love, violets are bringing their soft notes to new summery fragrances. Did you know what Napoleon was a great lover of fine perfume and allegedly got through a quarter of a gallon of violet cologne every week?!
Succumb to the scents of these flowers with our selection of floral and powdered perfumes.
