In the words of the great Shu Uemura: "beautiful make-up just isn't possible without good make-up removal." Morning and night, you should spend a good few minutes cleansing your face. Even if you don't wear make-up, your skin needs cleansing!
Choosing a good cleanser/make-up remover:
Choose the right type of cleanser for your skin type (lotion, milk, gel or scrub). If you have dry skin, don't use a cleanser you rinse off with hard tap water, which contains mineral deposits that can aggravate dry skin. Whatever your skin type, your skin shouldn't feel right after you remove your make-up. If it does, change your cleanser pronto!
Application
Warm a blob of cleanser in the palms of your hands and dab onto your cheeks and forehead. Massage, remove with cotton wool (or alternatively with lotion), and repeat until your cotton wool comes away completely clean.
