It's vital to prepare your base properly, so before you reach for your foundation, get to grips with:

Concealer
Wherever the signs of sleepless nights are showing on your face (around your eyes, the top corners of your nose and the philtrum, between your mouth and nose), use undereye concealer. Don't plaster your face with concealer and don't darken or highlight your features with it! For best results, use a long-lasting liquid concealer you apply with a brush.

Highlighter
Use pinky and/or shimmery highlighter on all the prominent features of your face (sides of the nose, chin and the edge of the eyebrow arch just below your brows). Fine brushes are fab for precision.

Tip:
For those big occasions, apply make-up primer all over your face before your foundation for a 100% flawless finish. Learn to play with colours: green bases make redness more obvious, while mauve bases illuminate dull skin.
