Two vitals steps to go before your base is perfect...
Powder
Powder is essential to hold your make-up in place (though it isn't advised if you have dry skin). Go for beige/pink powder if you have fair skin or golden/apricot powder if you have dark skin.
How to apply: swirl a large brush in your powder, tap onto the back of your hand to remove any excess and apply onto your face in circular movements, working from the centre of your face outwards.
Blusher
Fresh pink is in this season, which is fab for giving any skin tone a bit of colour.
Tip
To illuminate your face, apply a (light!) touch of blush to the prominent features of your face (the sides of your nose, temples and chin, not forgetting the corners of your forehead, close to your hairline).
