Eyeliner looks great with flawless skin, but it’s a no-no on days when you're looking pasty and washed-out. Widen your eyes by applying Eyeliner along your upper lash line. Black has a chic effect, while dark brown or plum softens the eyes. Shimmering liner perfects a party look.

Eyeliner is available in several different formats, so start by choosing the one that suits you best. Liquid eyeliner gives a well-defined line but tends to run; eyeliner pencils are quick and easy, powder eyeliner (applied with a brush) or eyeliner pen (the best option for beginners!).
For a perfect result, apply liner to the inner corner of the eye, moving outwards towards the temple while gently stretching your eyelid out. If you make a mess, simply use a cotton bud dipped in eye make-up remover to remove the mark. If you want a full-on pin-up look, channel Dita and create an even base with very light loose powder, and paint your lips bright red.
