To make sure you don't go wrong at a crucial point and overpluck, take a pencil and hold it vertically to the side of your nostril. The top of the pencil marks the spot where your brows should begin. Move the end of the pencil to the outer corner of your eye: this is where your brow should end. If you then move the end of the pencil over the iris if your eye, this should be where the arch of your brow is at its highest. Tips: - Pluck your brows after a shower or bath, when your pores are open. It'll be less painful! - Only pluck one brow at once, and take your time. If you go wrong, you'll have to wait a wee while for the hairs to grow back!
- Cut down any very long hairs which stick out, to make them easier to tweeze (longer hairs are denser). - If you suffer redness after tweezing, apply ice as a decongestant. Mistakes not to make:
- Don't tweeze the tops of your brows. - Don't use eyebrow pencils that are too dark or light, otherwise it won't look natural and any little flaws you're trying to camouflage will stand out. Use: Tweezers with crab ends to tease out the finest, shortest hairs.
