After her role as that quintessential Brit Bridget Jones, Renée Zellweger plunged herself into English culture and lingo again to play Beatrix Potter in the highly-acclaimed biopic of the children's author. You'd be forgiven for thinking she likes playing Englishwomen...and with her milk-and-roses complexion and perfect accent, it's not surprising people mistake her for a true Brit.
So when we met up with Renée in glitzy LA, we were gobsmacked by just how all-American she is in the flesh: all blonde, bright-eyed Hollywood glamour, seductive charm and infectious laughter. We can't imagine anyone more unlike Bridget, but it's impossible not to like Renée, and we fell under her spell straight away.
We quizzed Renée about her fetish for the English language, her small-town roots and traditional values, fame, fortune and her future plans.
