You seem remarkable happy and glowing these days. Love life wise, are you completely over your divorce now?
Yes, and I'm happier than I've ever been.
Would you ever re-marry?
No way - twice is enough! I'm not putting myself though all that hell again (she laughs).
Is that because you don't want to go through the pre-nup and settlement business!? (Laughs)
Yeah, a little I guess - all that stuff doesn't make you want to do it again! But it's also because I no longer feel the need to get married to make a relationship with someone valid.
Do you want kids?
That's what I want most in the world: to be a good mother and do the best for my kids, even if I'm single. My mother raised us on her own and she did a really good job.
Would you consider adoption?
I don't know whether I'll have children of my own or whether I'll adopt. I just want to be a mother, it's what I want so badly, as a woman and as a human being...to give my life meaning.
You've won an Oscar and now you have your very own star on the Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard. Do you think you're properly recognised as an actress nowadays?
Yes, and that recognition has marked a turning point in my career. I'm so proud of everything that's happened to me. I've also been lucky enough to meet the most amazing producer, Elaine Goldsmith-Thomas, who wants to make more movies with me. It's as if suddenly, now I'm 40, everything's opening up all at once!
What kind of films would you like to play in?
I'd love to do a romantic comedy - something light, because I've done a lot of dramatic films and thrilllers and I'd really love to be a bit funny and go crazy for a change!
