What do you like to do when you're not working?
I like to watch films and see my friends. I also love travelling and discovering new places. I love going out for dinner on Sunday nights. I love going to the theatre and going to gigs. It's all very ordinary but I don't have one particular interest, I'm not an extreme sort of person and I don't always need to be doing something exciting to feel alive.
Don't you like danger, then?
No, I guess not, I'm not that kind of girl. My grandfather was a skateboarder and biker. He was selected for the Olympics just before the Second World War broke out, he was a very famous athlete. My dad's very sporty too, and I do take after him a little but I'm not into it competitively.
What else are you passionate about?
I paint and I do photography. I'm finishing art school in New York at the minute. I paint on acrylic, sometimes using a model, sometimes just using my imagination. My classes in New York are quite figurative. I love painting all sorts of things. Using my imagination and looking at things properly is really important to me.
Are there any places you'd like to visit?
I'd love to go to India, Africa and I'd really love to go to the Antarctic.
Are you involved in humanitarian causes?
Yes, I've already worked on a project with Bono. One thing's for sure, when I do go to Africa it won't be to stay in a nice hotel - I think that's so out of place. I want to use my fame to support important causes.
We hear you've been branching out into writing too?
Yeah, I'm working for Vanity Fair magazine.
We also hear you've been writing a novel?
Ah, you'll have to wait and see, I can't tell you anything yet!
