You've already had a lengthy film career at 24. How do you see the future?
When I was 16 I was very intuitive in my choice of roles and i think I've lost that a little and let other people tell me what actors and directors I should work with. Right now I want to start following my intuition again. Above all I want to stay true to myself. I always say to myself, you have a choice: yes or no. I don't feel confined. That's how I see things at the minute.
Outside of acting, do you have any other projects up your sleeve?
I would like to produce and direct films, and there are also so many other things I'm passionate about, like writing for example. What would make me really happy would be to explore new avenues and get involved in new things throughout my career.
Everyone's talking about the possibility of Spider-Man 4. Will it happen?
Definitely not - we've come full circle with the trilogy I think. I wouldn't be a part of it, in any case.
What's up next for you?
I'm doing a film called How To Lose Friends And Alienate People by Simon Pegg. I'm also playing Marie Ruzicka in Sam Raimi's next film, with Tobey Maguire again. It's the story of a woman who is a member of a humanitarian organisation supporting victims of the American invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan. After that, I'm going to work on a project with Michel Gondry, who directed me in Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind.
Is it true you're going to play Blondie legend Debbie Harry in a film?
Yes, but it's too early to talk about it!
What are your plans for the summer - will you be jetting off on holiday?
No, I'll be working in London - which is a great place to be, so I can't complain!
