Brad was voted the Sexiest Man Alive by People magazine twice and can command up to 30 million dollars per film. Here's a little more on his path to stardom.
From Missouri to California
Born on the 18th December 1963 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, William Bradley Pitt was brought up in Springfield, Missouri with his brother and sister. He couldn't decide between architecture, publicity and journalism, and gave up his studies in Columbia to learn acting at Roy London's studio in California.
Making his mark in Hollywood
He was first spotted in a Levi's advert and started out with small roles in TV series (Dallas, 21 Jump Street) and television films. But it was his brief appearance in Thelma and Louise that really got him noticed.
A River Runs Through It was a decisive film for Brad and made his face known to the public. But Brad doesn't rely on his looks and preferred films like Twelve Monkeys, Seven and Fight Club. He also alternates blockbusters (Troy, the Ocean's trilogy, etc.) with more serious films (Meet Joe Black, Babel...).
Brad also works behind the camera as a producer. He co-founded his own company, Plan B, and he's been involved in the production of several big films (Troy, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Departed, A Mighty Heart and The Assassination of Jesse James).
Relationships
Brad was engaged to Gwyneth Paltrow, then married to Jennifer Aniston for over 4 years. They were Hollywood's golden couple and never out of the media. Then in January 2005, Brad divorced Jen for Angelina Jolie. Nicknamed Brangelina by the press, the couple now have 4 children, 3 of whom are adopted, and are planning to adopt again.
