It's been three years since Lily Allen had us all humming Smile. A miscarriage, a break-up and a spell in therapy later, the 23-year-old is back with a new album It's Not Me, It's You. It's a departure from the chirpy, bouncy ska-pop of Alright, Still, with darker themes, electro and dance influences. No 1 single The Fear suggests a profound disillusionment with the cult of celebrity and the showbiz world Lily grew up in...identity crisis, we wonder?

The Lily we meet is honest, down-to-earth and looking radiant in a chic black dress. Here she chats candidly about growing up in the public eye and why she wants to re-live her childhood by having a family of her own. Though we hope she's not about to retire from the spotlight just yet...
