We’ve been hard at work going through the winter collections since we got back from holiday, to bring you the definitive report on hot colours to be seen in as the temperature drops.

Out go pink, aqua and other beach-friendly colours, as autumn ushers in resolutely sombre tones.   A god-send for those of us who need to hide the evidence of holiday over-indulgence on holiday, just remember your smile as the days shorten. 

If you don’t want to drown in a sea of winter black, follow our advice on the colours of the season, whether you’re going for the total look or accents: red, mid grey, chocolate, petrol blue, violet and gold.

Save your black for special occasions when you need to cover a multitude of sins, or days when you can’t come up with anything else!
