"I smoked about 15 cigarettes a day for 15 years. I tried patches but I only lasted three days. One day someone told me about Allen Carr's book and I went out and bought it, thinking I had nothing to lose. I read it and a week later I decided enough was enough: time to stop! It's not particularly well-written, but it's really accessible and really convincing. It really hammers home how happy you are being a non-smoker. It brainwashes you, but it works!
A year after I stopped I stupidly started up again for a couple of months, then I re-read the book and stopped again. I haven't had one in two years now and I don't even want to any more."
