Low-fat, reduced-fat, fat-free, no added sugar, sugar-free, calorie-free...it's a jungle out there in Tesco, and if you're counting the calories you need to be careful of label logic...or the lack of it, rather, because food labels can be downright misleading.
There seem to be just as many low-fat and light alternatives as there are 'real' yoghurts, butter, milk and margarine, and it's not just the dairy produce section of the supermarket that's rammed with healthier alternatives: everything seems to have a reduced-fat equivalent nowadays, complete with slinky packaging and extravagant claims. 100% taste, 0% fat and sometimes 50% more expensive, but do they really do what they say on the tin?
