Banish ready-meals and processed foods from your trolley, like frozen or microwave meals and sugar-laden biscuits and try to avoid refined foods, like white bread, pasta, rice and sugary cereal which have had most of the nutrients removed. Rather than spending ages poring over confusing labels, choose fresh foods with nothing added or taken away and ‘whole’ products, like wholewheat pasta and wholegrain bread, which will fill you up for longer and are full of fibre and other nutrients. | |||||||||||||||||||||
