The change of season and the weather can zap our energy: when it starts to get chilly, you tend to find your morale is lower, you feel tired, fragile and ready to succumb to germs lurking all around.
There are several reasons for this:
-We eat less fresh food containing lots of vitamins during the cold months, and we also tend to eat hot comfort food (cooking destroys a lot of energy-giving vitamins, especially Vitamin C).
-Our bodies have to cope with the cold, wind and rain and switch between artificially heated interiors and biting cold exteriors (ugh).
-We go out less, so we don't oxygenate ourselves enough. Germs breed like flies in overheated offices!
-The days get shorter, which affects hormone release and energy levels.
