Depriving yourself of chocolate because of high cholesterol is a pointless exercise! Chocolate is fatty because it contains so much cacao butter, but it mainly contains 'good' fat: monounsaturated fatty acids, which are the easiest for the body to absorb.
According to one case study,* a person who ate 75g dark chocolate a day saw their levels of HDL ('good' cholesterol) rise by 11.4%, while their levels of 'bad' LDL cholesterol dropped by 11.9%.
