Ready-Made Sauces

Ready-Made Sauces

If you’re not making your own sauces, avoid even light versions of mayonnaise other sauces as they will be full of fat, sugar and preservatives, all of which are disastrous for your figure.

Go for a basic tomato sauce (canned or in a box), but add your own herbs – think basil or tarragon.

Try making your own quick fat-free cream cheese and chive sauce – all it takes is a little stirring and snipping!

If you’re feeling really lazy some ready-made light sauces aren’t too bad (try your local supermarket or Marks and Spencer for ‘fresh’ sauces), but go easy, as anything ready-made will be heavier on the calories.
