From fashion to beauty, accessories and watches, the Lacoste label has expanded into many markets. There was even a limited edition Lacoste Peugeot 205 launched in 1984!
With licenses multiplying, shops opening all over the globe (the first was in Paris, not far from the Roland Garros stadium where the French Open takes place), the Lacoste polo is always being copied, with a massive trade in replicas from certain African and Asian countries.
Lacoste has also worked with big names such as acclaimed director Wong Kar Wai, who shot a commercial for them in Shanghai, and top designer Christophe Pillet, who came up with the concept for Lacoste shops in Dallas, Tokyo and Istanbul.
