Hair was either long and sleek, secured and kept in firmly line or dishevelled, curled, crimped and accessoried with plumes, hair jewellery and sculture-like hats.  Updos reigned on the Haute Couture catwalks, the higher the better.

Everything was outsized: fringes, chignons, volume and even accessories, so dive straight in this autumn and think big!
