The only way?

Parents react to screaming babies in different ways. Experts say get out of bed frequently, don't wake the baby completely, don't take him in your arms, stay close by, talk to him and calm him until he goes back to sleep, but this isn't always the case! 

When the situation gets worse, when he wakes up more frequently and it becomes too much, many parents end up giving in and taking their baby to bed with them. But they do it with a sense of guilt and anxiety, and deny it in order to conform to a social and cultural ideal.
