Sarah, mum to Samuel 
I immediately felt a sensation of love that I'd never experienced for anyone else. That took me by surprise at the birth! I can't explain it, it tops anything else I've ever felt.

Explanation
"Maternal love is unlike any other feeling of love."  This is how Dr Goupil tries to define maternal love. It's different from the love we feel towards our partners and parents. Love for your baby is almost like a wild, animal instinct. We know how it feels, but we can't rationalise it.
